missin my LITERARY CRITISM CLASS
i don’t consider myself a full-time graduate student… i dont even know why i started with that phrase considering the fact that i dont want to elaborate why i am so!
yesterday, me and my sister watch this filipino film which i barely do… you might kill me with this revelation, but i am not a big fan of local movies, because of the thought that filipino movies, regardless of the director, the artists, etc…- are all the same.. they share the same plot, story and whatevahhhhh….
back to the film we’ve watched.. it is the latest out movie by the STAR CINEMA.. yes, the film which starred three of the brightest stars of Philippine Movies today. you probably already know what film i am talking about… for those of you who does not know yet sake’s it is "NASAAN KA MAN".
for starters, the film is about three adoptive siblings (correct me if i used the wrong description) who fell in love with each other… which later on revealed that a love-triangle exists on that film, between JOVEN(jericho rosales)-PILAR(claudine barretto)-ETO(diether ocampo).
those three were adopted by two spinters sisters and blah, blah, blah!
what really got my attention is that, the twist that the plot has… making me remember my literary critism class.. the film do have SYMBOLS, alot of it. which added to the msytery and suspense that the film is trying to bring out.
the film as whole is A-okay for me… eyyyy, am not being paid in writing this okay?
i just want to share that cathartic feeling that i obtain after watching the film.
but be sure to start watching the film at its very first part though… you might missed the stuff that i felt upon watchin it.
till my next lit crit!
ciao!

I’m not surprised that you actually wrote a review of the film.
Nang matapos natin ang litcrit, we (siyempre, sali ko na sarili ko, hehe) tend to view things on a deeper perspective.
Not all movies though deserves a review. Di ko napanood ang “Nasaan Ka man” pero nakita ko ang full trailer, and I thought that its ACTUAL TARGET AUDIENCE are CRITICS. However, they had to repeat a craplike ad most of the time, para ma-box office. Mahilig kasi sa basura ang pinoy.. hindi ko alam kung bakit.
